Dr Saeb Erakat, the PLO Secretary-General and Chief Negotiator addressed a major Caabu Parliamentary reception in Westminster on 19 June with senior MPs in attendance.

The veteran negotiator was highly critical of the approach of the Trump administration and its lack of a support for a two-state solution. He argued that focussing solely on Palestinian needs not focussing Palestinian rights would fail.  “Palestinians as far as this administration is concerned are not people.”  He said that he would not sit with this US administration.

MPs Holly Lynch, Lilian Greenwood, Graham Jones, Chris Elmore and Julie Elliott have written to Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt urging him to intervene on the decision by Airbnb and other such sites to continue listing in illegal Israeli settlements. They visited Palestine on a delegation with Caabu and Medical Aid for Palestinians in September 2017.

An Early Day Motion (EDM) has been tabled on 30 April 2019 on the illegal annexation of Occupied Palestinian and Syrian territories by Israel. The EDM's primary sponsor was Andy Slaughter MP (Labour) and co-sponsored by Sir Nicholas Soames MP (Conservative), Lisa Nandy MP (Labour), Alistair Carmichael MP (Liberal Democrat), Richard Burden MP (Labour) and Tommy Sheppard MP (SNP).
