"As a group of UK-based humanitarian, development, human rights and faith organisations working to support the rights of the Palestinian people, we are deeply concerned by the UK Government's decision not to support the establishment of a UN Commission of Inquiry to assess violations of international law in the context of large-scale civilian protests in Gaza.

Since Monday 14 May when over 60 protesters were killed by Israeli forces in Gaza, and over 2,700 injured, there have been two Urgent Questions in Parliament and a Westminster Hall debate on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. On 15 May, the Shadow Foreign Secretary Emily Thornberry tabled an Urgent Question on the issue of violence against protesters. 21 MPs who have been on delegations to Palestine with Caabu spoke in this debate.
