Donald Trump’s plan is not a peace plan but a declaration of war. How else to describe a plan that gobbles up most of Palestine’s territory? At zero cost, Israel gets US approval to annex occupied territory – land that it seized through force and colonised.
A letter to Prime Minister Boris Johnson from 133 MPs and peers, from all parties, reacting to US President Trump’s ‘peace plan’, has been sent. In it, the parliamentarians express their grave concern over the plan’s contents, which they say “shows contempt for the aspirations and rights of the Palestinian people and international law, and provides no realistic basis for a return to negotiations.”

Prince Charles to visit Palestine
On Friday 24 January Prince Charles will become the most senior royal to pay an official visit to Palestine as he meets President Abbas in occupied Bethlehem. This follows the visit of Prince William in 2018.

This month HRH Prince Charles visits Israel and Palestine together for the first time, invited by Presidents Rivlin and Abbas. He will undertake engagements on your behalf in both countries. This is historic, and welcome. For more than a century of reasons, Palestine is a country meriting equal treatment, equal rights and parity of British esteem with its Israeli neighbour - its temporary occupying power.
