Why UAE-Israel normalisation will not help regional peace? By Chris Doyle

That Israel and the UAE may normalise relations is from the narrow perspective of two states establishing ties for the first time welcome.  It could benefit both countries.  Trade and travel will be encouraged and barriers broken. So far, so good. So why are so many equivocal or hostile to this?

Ways to help Lebanon after the blast in Beirut

Everyone at Caabu is devastated at the scenes from Beirut after the explosions. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Lebanese people. The international community including the UK should respond quickly and effectively to help the city and its people recover.

Here we have collated a few ways to help those impacted by the blast, including supporting organisations working on the ground, both local Lebanese and internationals NGOs.

European parliamentarians say no to Israel's illegal annexation plans

European MPs have come together to oppose the illegal plan of Israel’s Prime Minister to annex part of the Palestinian West Bank, under Israeli military occupation since 1967. Convened by Stephen Kinnock MP, Co Chair of the Britain-Palestine All-Party Parliamentary Group, colleagues from France, Ireland, Belgium and the UK agreed to challenge and seek to deter this criminal act.
