Caabu Director gives evidence on Lebanon and Syria to Commons Foreign Affairs Select Committee - 27 January 2026
Chris Doyle, the Caabu Director, joined a panel of three experts to give evidence about the situation in Lebanon and Syria. Speaking alongside Daniel Levy and Dr Lina Khatib, Doyle emphasised that there was a window of opportunity in Lebanon given the current government had credibility and respect; and also the current weakness of Hizbollah and Iran.
However, Doyle was clear that the UK and other international actors must pressure Israel to stop its daily violations of the ceasefire agreement and to pull out of territory it occupies in Lebanon and in Syria.
