About the speakers:
Yousef Hammash, the BAFTA and Emmy award-winning Channel 4 news journalist, and Palestinian film maker and producer of “This is Gaza” from Jabalia Camp, Gaza who will reflect on the challenges of reporting from Gaza whilst under attack.
Chris Doyle, Director of Caabu – an authoritative voice and advocate of Palestinian rights for over 30 years, speaking about his experience working with hundreds of British Parliamentarians and challenging the mainstream media narrative.
Shockat Adam, Independent MP for Leicester South who pulled off a shock election victory by ousting Labour shadow-cabinet Minister Jonathan Ashworth, calling it a vote for Gaza. Shockat will update us on his parliamentary work garnering cross-party support for the UK parliament to recognise the State of Palestine, and ways in which the local community can mobilise and help sustain pressure.
