Caabu would like to invite you to an event:

Post-2014: Displaced Communities and the Challenges of Reconstruction in the Gaza Strip

When: Wednesday 30 November, 13:00

Where: MBI Al Jaber Building, London Middle East Institute (LMEI), SOAS, 21 Russell Square, London

This event is not exclusive to Caabu members, but if you wish to support our work by signing up as a Caabu member, you can do so here.

The event will discuss the issue of displaced families in Gaza post-2014. This is part of a project implemented by Society Voice Foundation (SVF) in cooperation with Human Rights and International Human Law Secretariat which aims to raise and advocate the rights of displaced families whose homes were demolished by the Israeli military during the 2014 conflict and who have been waiting for their homes to be rebuilt ever since. The speaker will share the findings of his recent field study on displaced communities in the Gaza Strip.

About the speaker:

Ibrahim Natil is the founder of the Society Voice Foundation in Palestine and a human rights campaigner. He has launched and managed a wide range of human rights, women's empowerment and peacebuilding projects since 1997 in Palestine, working for many international NGOs.  He is currently a Research Fellow at the Institute for International Conflict Resolution and Reconstruction at Dublin City University. He has published many articles and book chapters, presented over 21 papers at conferences across Europe over the last four years, and is the author of Hamas Transformation Opportunities and Challenges, Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2015. He is also a MBI Al Jaber Foundation Alumni Ambassador and has been nominated for the 2016 Tällberg Foundation Global Leadership Prize.
